After the regular daily offering in the Temple, the Additional Offerings were brought. Each day there was a different number of these Additional Offerings were to be brought. All together seventy oxen were to be brought in the course of the entire festival. These seventy oxen corresponded to the seventy original nations of the world who descended from the sons of Noah, and who were the ancestors of all the nations till this day. Israel brought these sacrifices as atonement for the nations of the world and in prayer for their well being as well as for universal peace and harmony between them.
“Rabbi Yehoshua Ben Levi said, ‘If the nations of the world had known the value of the Temple for them, they would have surrounded it with fortresses in order to protect it. For it was greater value for them than for Israel….’”

Leviticus 20:24
But I have said to you, You shall inherit their land, and I will give it to you to possess it, a land that flows with milk and honey: I am the LORD your God, which have separated you from other people.

For you did separate them from among all the people of the earth, to be your inheritance, as you spoke by the hand of Moses your servant, when you brought our fathers out of Egypt, O LORD God.
Jewish Priests and Levites are on a higher and separate plain from the majority of Israelites. The common Israelite calls first a Priest and then a Levite to a public reading of the Bible. Blessings that descend from this proscribed process benefits all of Israel, and also flows to the nations of the world. This very separation, including Jews living in the Promised Land, are essential to maintain harmony in our world. When this order of blessings are broken, we all lose out.
