Governor Tony Evers announces that Wisconsin has administered 10 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Governor Tony Evers and the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) announced Monday, Aug. 1, that more than 10 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in the State of Wisconsin, including over 2.5 million additional and booster doses. More than 60% of all Wisconsinites have completed their COVID-19 vaccine series and 35% have received an additional or booster dose.

India reports its first confirmed monkeypox related death in Kerala

India confirmed its first monkeypox death on Monday, a young man in the southern state of Kerala, in what is only the fourth known fatality from the disease in the current outbreak.

Peru reports its first confirmed death from monkeypox in a 45-year-old male with underlying health conditions. 

a 45-year-old person died after being diagnosed with monkeypox in our country. This is a patient with medical complications and when he arrived at the hospital his condition was already reserved. According to initial information from hospital, where this case was recorded, this person suffered from septic shock caused by this disease. However, he explained that the patient suffered from HIV and that he had stopped his treatment several months ago, which is why he was more vulnerable.
