The evacuations tied to the Edgewood Fire were ordered in the Emerald Hills area near San Carlos and Redwood City. According to officials, a firefighter was hurt while battling the blaze and was transported to Stanford Hospital. The blaze has burned at least 20 acres in the areas around Maple Street. Flames were 5% contained as of 11 p.m. Firefighters initially responded to the fire after 2:20 p.m. in the area of Edgewood Road and Crestview Drive. Power Outages happened in the residential area. The evacuation and reunification center has been moved to Veterans Memorial Senior Center at 1455 Madison Ave. in Redwood City.
