Several opposition politicians are arrested in Fort Colombo, Sri Lanka, after demanding the resignation of PM Ranil Wickremesinghe, who yesterday said that the country is “bankrupt”.

Sri Lanka’s former opposition parliamentarian Hirunika Premachandra and former Weligama Urban Council Chairman Rehan Jayawickreme have been arrested along with seven others outside the president’s official residence in Fort Colombo on 5th July,2022.
