Russia’s Territorial Goal Expanded

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov says that his country’s military goals are no longer limited to the Donbas region and have expanded to also include “the Kherson region, the Zaporizhzhia region and a number of other territories”.

The Russo-Ukrainian War is an ongoing war between Russia (together with pro-Russian separatist forces) and Ukraine. Russia’s foreign minister Sergey Lavrov has said his country’s military goals in Ukraine go beyond the eastern Donbas region, according to state media, as Russian forces shelled southern and eastern Ukraine. Geographical aims of Russia’s operation in Ukraine now include other territories, foreign minister Sergey Lavrov says.
