North Korea launches a suspected intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) towards Japan, prompting evacuation warnings to residents in the prefectures of Miyagi, Yamagata and Niigata. The missile landed about 1,100 km off the Japanese coast in the Pacific Ocean.
