Euro Falls!

The euro’s value against the U.S. dollar falls below parity for the first time in 20 years.

The euro has fallen below the U.S. dollar in value for the first time in 20 years, with the Eurozone currency slipping a few hundredths of a cent below the U.S. dollar in the afternoon of 13th July, Wednesday. The euro fell as low as $0.9998 against the dollar on Wednesday. The dollar retraced from a 20-year high and the euro broke back above parity, following a brief dip below, after data on Wednesday showed U.S. consumer price inflation surged to a more than 40-year high in June.
